Paul F. Herzog
PAUL F. HERZOG is a magna cum laude graduate of
Duke University and the
School of Law at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following his
graduation from law school, he practiced law with the international firm of
Ismail S. Nazer in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. He is a published authority on Saudi
labor law.
Since 1979, Mr. Herzog has concentrated in criminal defense work. He was head of
the Public Defender's Office for North Carolina's 12th Judicial District. He is
the veteran of more than a dozen capital (death penalty) trials. He was the lead
defense lawyer in the case of NC v. Malcolm Wright, a capital case televised
live by Court TV.
He has published numerous articles on various criminal defense topics in
professional journals, and has been a frequent speaker and lecturer at public
and professional groups in the states of North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and
Florida.
